Police: Card Game Ends With Gunshots

Police said shots were fired at an apartment in north Charlotte after a fight during a card game.

They said it happened on Beatties Ford Road at 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Officers said two women got into an argument during the card game, and the boyfriend of one of the women kicked everyone out of the apartment. At some point, the other woman involved in the argument was assaulted, police said.

Later, officers believe the boyfriend of the woman who was assaulted came to the apartment. But when he got to the door, police said the man fired shots through the door. That man was arrested.

Police have not released the suspect’s name.

No one was hurt.
