Police Investigate Possible Home Invasion In Charlotte

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a possible home invasion that left one person injured Sunday.

Police said two people tried to force their way into a home near North Wendover and Monroe Roads in southeast Charlotte.

Investigators said that a family, including two children, was home at the time.

According to police, one of the intruders shot an occupant of the home in the leg.

The victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center Main and is expected to be OK.

Police have not released a description of the two people involved.
