Police: Man Lying In Road Hit By Truck, Killed
GASTONIA, NC —
Police in Gastonia said a man died after he was hit by a truck Saturday morning.
It happened just after 10 a.m. on West Walnut Street.
Investigators told Eyewitness News’ newspaper partner, the Gaston Gazette, that Chad Zoeller was lying in the road when a 53-year-old woman hit him with her truck.
Police don’t know why Zoeller was lying in the road. The truck’s driver told officers she didn’t see him.
Investigators have not released many details, but said Zoeller died at the hospital.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
