Police Say Huntersville Doctor Touched Patient In Sexual Manner

A Huntersville optometrist is facing a charge of sexual battery.

Police said Dr. Christopher Reynolds of the Northcross Eye Associates office on Sam Furr Road was arrested on Thursday.

Officers said a 48-year-old female patient reported that during a routine eye exam on June 25 Reynolds inappropriately touched her. Investigators said the touch was of a clearly very sexual nature.

Huntersville investigators said they’ve been in touch with the N.C. Board of Optometry and a complaint was filed.

Reynolds has worked with the practice for more than a decade and does not have a criminal record. His wife also works at the office.

Those that work in the business complex said they are genuinely shocked by the allegations.
