Police: Teens Caught Breaking Into Cars

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Officers in Charlotte said someone called police overnight about a car with a broken window in north Charlotte.

Police responded to the scene at Cannon Avenue and said two teens, 15 and 16, were still in the car. The teens ran away. Police quickly caught one of them, then used police dogs to help catch the second suspect around 1 a.m. on Oneida Road.

Investigators said the teens broke into a car and SUV before they were caught. The teen who ran away was taken to the hospital for scratches and bruises he got while running in the woods.
