CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Gang unit detectives are now looking into what a known Los Angeles street gang member was doing in Charlotte.

Police said Carlos Burns robbed a north Charlotte bank and then led police on a high-speed chase on Tuesday.

Authorities said he's from Los Angeles and is a member of the Rolling 40s Crips gang. Eyewitness News found photos on his MySpace page where he's showing off his gang tattoos and flashing gang signs.

Court records show he was in a California jail at recently as last month, so he hasn't been in Charlotte long. Detectives said he refused to talk when they tried to interview him after he was arrested.
