Police Write 50 Plus Tickets In Overnight Checkpoint

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers wrote a total of 56 tickets late Friday night into Saturday morning at a checkpoint in south Charlotte.

Police were stationed in the 1400 block of Providence Road.

Here’s a break-down of the tickets from overnight:

• DWI Charges – 7

• Open Container of Alcohol – 8

• Possession/Consumption of Alcohol, less than 21 – 5

• Driving While License Revoked – 4

• No Operator’s License – Other Citations - 25
