Rain May Not Be Completely Out of the Weekend Forecast

A busy holiday weekend is upon us and all eyes will be to the skies for several reasons. First of all, fireworks shows for tonight are looking just fine as skies will remain mostly clear. And it will stay quite comfortable with lowered humidity and temperatures in the upper 70s as the shows kick off.

For the rest of the weekend, the forecast is becoming more clear and drier. We have taken out the chance for storms on the Fourth as it appears dry air will continue to flow in from the mountains. It is possible that a stray mountain thunderstorm could fire up Saturday afternoon but the chance right now sits at 20% or less. So compared to last year, the fireworks shows on the Fourth should go off without any trouble from Mother Nature.

By the end of the weekend, we will be looking to sky for more than fireworks. A storm system will begin to push in on Sunday and this will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms. The rain chance will peak Sunday evening and into Monday so hopefully we can get through a few more runs of burgers and fireworks before any rainfall arrives.

One other item that will be left out of the forecast this year is the extreme heat and humidity. We will not be repeating last years high of 94 degrees. Temperatures will will stay in check, hovering near 90 degrees along with humidity levels that will be tolerable.
