Rock Hill Considering Tougher Water Restrictions

ROCK HILL, S.C. —

Rock Hill, S.C., city leaders are warning residents that harsher water restrictions are likely by the end of this year or early next year.

"We're close," said public service administrator Nick Stegall about the likely level-four water restrictions.

The current level-three restrictions ban residents from watering their lawns.

Stegall said level-four restrictions could fine people for using too much water in their homes.

"It's to the point where we need to cut back on the use inside the home as well," said Stegall.
