COLUMBIA, S.C. —
A South Carolina labor union apologized after a video showed its outgoing president smashing a piñata with Gov. Nikki Haley’s face on it.
Donna Dewitt smashed the piñata at last weekend's Retreat of the State AFL/CIO, which she said was meant as a game.
The union emailed an apology to ABC News saying there was no place for that kind of joke.
