Slow Moving Traffic On I-77 Southbound After Crash

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

An accident involving a tractor-trailer left traffic at a stand still on I-77 southbound just before I-485 Sunday afternoon.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 11:30 a.m.. Medic told Eyewitness News one person was transported to Carolinas Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

At one point, all four lanes were blocked because of the crash. Police were able to re-direct traffic off of the interstate at the Gilead Road exit.

Troopers were working to figure out what caused the crash.
