RALEIGH, N.C. —
Bob Etheridge is speaking out for the first time since he announced he's running for governor.
With the primary just three months away, the former congressman still doesn't have a campaign staff or money.
He's running on an education platform -- a big issue for Democrats. Republican Pat McCrory is expected to focus on job creation. Etheridge said jobs and education are closely tied.
Etheridge will face Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton and State Rep. Bill Faison in the Democratic primary
