Statesville Shooting Victims To Be Laid To Rest Thursday

STATESVILLE, N.C. —

Funeral services took place early Thursday for one of the victims killed during a robbery at a Statesville convenience store.

The Statesville Record and Landmark reports prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Andrew Ramseur, the teen accused of killing Jennifer Vincek and Jeffery Peck on Sunday morning while holding up the store where Vincek worked.

Officers arrested Ramseur the next morning at the Hallmark Inn in Statesville. A judge denied bond for him on Tuesday.

Funeral services for Vincek began at 11 a.m. at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville. She left behind three children -- ages 7, 2, and 6 months.

Family and friends will gather at Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville to say goodbye to Peck on Thursday afternoon. A viewing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with the funeral service to follow.

Peck was a grandfather of five.
