Students Find Threatening Message In School Bathroom

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. —

Administrators at West Iredell High School sent out a letter informing parents of a threatening message found in a school bathroom.

School Resource officer Deputy James reported that students told him of a hand-written note discovered on the restroom wall on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

James said the not referenced harming two students at West Iredell High.

School officials said the school has since implemented components of their Safe School Plan. Administrators said they conducted a search of student's lockers and the building, and random classroom searches.

Officials said teachers were asked to be more vigilant at monitoring students' movements around the building, and James arranged for additional security.
