Survivor Of Conover Quadruple Homicide Won't Serve Jail Time

A Catawba County father won't serve any jail time for having drugs that investigators say prompted someone to kill his entire family.

Brian Tzeo pleaded guilty to having opium inside his Conover home, where his wife, two daughters and son were slain. He said he has thought about his wife and children every day since the brutal killings earlier this year.

Investigators said it was that opium that led Chiew Saevang to kill the family.

Tzeo was at work when the slayings happened, but he was later indicted for possession with intent to sell and deliver the drug.

He was sentenced to 30 months of probation and will have to do 50 hours of community service.

His attorney plans to ask probation officials in California if he can serve his probation there because he has family in that state.
