CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Police say the teen was walking down Reddman Road when a man approached her and pushed her into some woods and told her to take off her clothes.

The teen was able to fight off the attack and run to a nearby house and call a friend.
Police say the man told the victim she was lucky to get away.
The victim told a guidance counselor at school the next day about the attack.
The counselor said she needed to tell her parents.
Police say she told a friend about the attack who then informed her grandmother.
The victim's grandmother alerted police.
Police are looking for a black man who stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds.
The man has a small, thin build and an Afro.
