Thief Attacks Woman With Taser At Charlotte Car Wash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

A robber used a Taser on a woman and stole her purse at a gas station in East Charlotte, police said.

Kristin Hoover showed Eyewitness News the mark left by the Taser. She said she was working at the Circle K on the Plaza and WT Harris Boulevard around 2:30 p.m. Saturday when she went to check the car wash. She said the robber followed her in, and without saying anything, shocked her with handheld Taser.

"He got within a couple inches of my face," Hoover said, "and had his whole body right up on me."

Hoover said the man ran to a neighboring apartment complex and then jumped in a car waiting for him with a second person inside. She said the two drove off down WT Harris Boulevard.
