Traffic on I-85 will be slow and congested on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but thru-traffic is not expected to experience impossible backups. Significant delays are expected in the right lanes of I-85 North and South approaching Bruton Smith Blvd./Exit 49 as fans exit toward the Speedway. However, traffic in the far left lane is expected to continue moving slowly and can be used by drivers not wanting to take an alternate route.
