Delays on Independence Blvd. near Matthews

The right lane of inbound Independence Blvd. is blocked at Sardis Rd. North as DOT crews repair traffic signals damaged in an earlier accident.  Outbound Independence Blvd. is open, but with no traffic signals, delays are expected for the morning commute.  Use Sam Newell Rd. (right) to Margaret Wallace Rd. (left), or use Monroe Rd. to Village Lake Dr. (right) as alternate routes traveling from Matthews toward Charlotte.

In addition, police are blocking left turns from Sardis Rd. North onto inbound Independence Blvd.  Use Monroe Rd. to Village Lake Dr. (right) as an alternate route from Sardis Rd. North onto inbound Independence Blvd.
