Sam Newell Rd. has reopened near Crown Point Elementary School following several months of work to replace an aging bridge. However, additional construction is necessary and crews will be on scene through at least September 15th.
Construction crews will not be allowed to block traffic between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., and again between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., in order to not impact school traffic. To avoid delays at other times, use Independence Blvd. to Margaret Wallace Rd., or use Rice Rd. to Idlewild Rd., as alternate routes.
