Train Hits Car, Kills Man In Union County
UNION COUNTY, N.C. —
A man died after a train crashed into a car early Sunday morning near the Union County and Anson County lines, police said.
William Westley Morton, 61, died in the accident, police said.
Morton was driving south on Clonnie Strawn Road off of Highway 74 in Union County when the train crashed into the passenger side of his car and pushed it into Anson County.
Officers said no one else was hurt.
