UNION COUNTY, N.C. —
The investigation into a triple homicide in Union County took another twist Monday night, as investigators began searching the house of a neighbor who found the victims' bodies.
"It's just spooky," said Junior Crump. He watched as investigators searched the neighbor's home, trash cans on his property and a car. The car, along with another, was later towed.
We spoke to the neighbor as he sat inside one of those cars on Sunday. He described finding the victims, which included his cousin, Crystal Hicks.
The neighbor described the experience as traumatic.
Deputies have not identified him as a suspect and as of late Monday no one connected to the killings had been booked at Union County Jail.
"It really does seem like there has been a break in the case," said Crump, as he watched investigators search the property. "And we hope there has been a break."
