Troopers: 2 Adults, Child Transported After Crash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Highway Patrol troopers shut down two lanes of I-77 Northbound near LaSalle Street Thursday morning for a crash that sent two adults and a young child to the hospital.

Their pickup truck ran off the road and hit the overpass sign, according to a trooper.

Troopers say the woman driving told them they were heading from South Carolina, but then she passed out before she could tell them anymore. Crews on scene say a man was pinned in the pickup.

All three were taken to Carolinas Medical Center and are expected to be OK.
