Two Shot On N.C. State University Campus

 

RALEIGH, N.C. —

Two people have been shot on the campus of North Carolina State University.

According to the school’s Web site, the victims were not students at the school. Police said they have also detained two people for questioning shortly after the shooting. The site said neither of these people are affiliated with the school either.

The shooting happened just after midnight Monday. Police said it happened at a gazebo at Wolf Village, which are on-campus apartments. The victims were transported to Wake Med.

Eyewitness News has learned a man and woman were shot. A representative for the university said both are expected to survive. The man was shot in the abdomen and the woman was shot in the foot.
