CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Sandy McGeachy said he first noticed the graffiti when he came home Friday night.
He was greeted with words like "die yuppie scum" and "your gentrification will end in catastrophe" spray painted on the door and brick walls.
Neighbors said it's the first anti-establishment graffiti they've seen, but they're not surprised by the animosity.
Neighbors a block a way said the new development is pushing older, poorer communities out.
"They're making neighborhoods nicer but pushing prices up and eventually that will push lower income families out and where they gonna go," said Lamar Gray.
The condo complex does have security cameras in the area.
