CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Police said they responded to a call at the Breakfast Club, located on North Caldwell Street, at about 2 a.m. Dominic Mahone, 25, had been shot twice, officers said. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where he died just before 9:30 a.m.

Witnesses at the club told police a woman approached Mahone inside the club, pulled out a gun and fired two shots at him while he was dancing. They said she then fled the scene in a royal blue Chevrolet with custom rims.
