Volunteers Cook Up Storm For Easter

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Volunteers spent Easter morning in the kitchen, cooking up breakfast at the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

The agency is holding an all-day Easter Extravaganza for the community.

The event kicked off at 6 a.m. Sunday with breakfast at the agency’s building located on the corner of Cedar Street and West First Street.

After breakfast, a coffee bar will be available from 8a.m. until 10 a.m. Cell phones will also be available throughout the day so people can call their families during the holiday.

At 11:30 a.m., volunteers will serve a midday Easter dinner.

Movies will also be shown at the facility throughout the day. The entire event ends at 3 p.m.
