Woman Arrested At Charlotte-Douglas After Assaulting TSA Agent

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Two serious incidents on planes heading to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport ended in arrests Friday.

Airport police and the Transportation Security Administration took Janet Gregory into custody the moment her flight landed from Cleveland.

Airport officials tell Eyewitness News she was cleaning and polishing her fingernails during the flight and refused to hand over her nail polish. Nail polish is one of the items banned under new security restrictions.

Authorities tell us when they tried to arrest Gregory she kicked a TSA agent. Gregory is in jail charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and communicating threats. No word how she got the nail polish on board.
