Atlanta businesses extend helping hand to stranded customers

Local businesses in Atlanta went out of their way to help stranded customers and surrounding motorists.

A Facebook group called “SnowedOutAtlanta” has over 40,000 members. There are many photos of stranded motorists, but also ones of businesses providing shelter.
McDonald’s near Langford Parkway let people stay all night, even though only their drive thru was open. An Atlanta-area CVS and Home Depot had overnight guests as well, even allowing four-legged friends indoors.

Target, Kroger and Whole Foods also took in stranded travelers.
