Disagreement leads to 1 dead, 2 wounded outside Fayetteville Wendy's

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police say one man has been killed and two others wounded after a disagreement in the parking lot of a Fayetteville fast-food restaurant.

Fayetteville police issued a news release saying the shooting happened on Saturday afternoon at a Wendy's after someone pulled out a handgun and fired.

The people involved in the shooting knew each other and had agreed to meet in the restaurant parking lot. The news release didn't make clear why they were meeting but said the shooting wasn't random.

Police say one man died at the scene. Two others were taken to the hospital with wounds to the hand or arm. They were in fair condition.

The men's names weren't released.

The news release didn't say whether anyone was being criminally charged.
