OAKBORO - Investigators plan to meet with the district attorney this week to determine whether charges need to be filed in the shooting death of an Oakboro teenager.
Police say Will Hughes was shot by his friend Friday around 10:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East First Street. They say his friend was showing him the gun when it fired, hitting the 19 year old.
Hughes died at Stanly County Medical Center.
