Man turns himself in to face murder charge

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Authorities say a Greenville County man turned himself in on charges he killed a 59-year-old woman.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says 30-year-old Ramane Green of Simpsonville surrendered Tuesday. He is being held without bond.
Green had been sought since Monday on charges he beat Ramona Hatton to death last month.
Deputy Coroner Tony Segars says Hatton had been dead for about a week before her body was found on the floor of her home July 15. She was discovered after a neighbor reported she hadn't seen Hatton in days. The door to Hatton's home was slightly ajar.
Lt. Michael Hildebrand says Green turned himself in after his photo was distributed to the media.
