Police: 2 NC homes damaged after truck hits them

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Two Wake County homes are damaged Wednesday morning after a truck hit them.

Police in Apex said a Ford F-350 barreled through a home around 3 a.m., destroying the entire first floor.

They said the entire neighborhood had to be evacuated because the driver hit a gas line and crushed the stove.

The driver also clipped a neighboring home.

No one was hurt, but police arrested the driver for suspected drunken driving.
