Renovations to begin on terminal at Charlotte Douglas Airport

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Another round of renovations is set to begin at a North Carolina airport.

Officials at Charlotte Douglas International Airport say renovations on Concourse C will begin Monday as part of the airport's $2.5 billion capital investment program.

Airport officials say the renovations include new ceiling tiles, carpet in the seating areas and upgraded seating. Terrazzo flooring will be installed in the center walkway to better accommodate rolling luggage. The project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2020.

Work will begin at the far end of the concourse and continue in stages. Most work will occur between 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. to limit disruptions.

Renovations on Concourse B are scheduled for completion this spring. Concourse A renovations began in September and are scheduled for completion in early 2020.
