SC woman faces 3 DUI charges following fatal wreck

CONWAY, S.C. — (AP) A Conway woman faces three charges of driving under the influence following a car crash last month that killed two people.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported that 28-year-old Brittany Lewis was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of driving under the influence resulting in death and one count of driving under the influence resulting in great bodily injury.

The S.C. Highway Patrol says Lewis was driving a pick-up truck Jan. 25 when she didn't stop at a stop sign. Authorities say her truck struck a car at intersection with S.C. 701, killing two people. Other people in the vehicles were injured.

Bond had not been set Saturday for Lewis, and it wasn't clear if she has an attorney.
