One more gorgeous day before mugginess returns

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The top weather story Friday will be the heat and humidity slowly building back into the Charlotte region.

The metro area will experience one more very nice day before the weather will turn fairly muggy this weekend.

Friday will be gorgeous, with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Highs will be around 87 degrees -- which is still below August standards.

Temps in the 90s will return this weekend. It will start to feel muggy on Saturday but the real oppressive day will be Sunday. Conditions will be very humid for tailgaters but no storms are expected for the Panthers game.

Rain chances will stay very low for a number of days -- we'll wait until Monday for any storms and that chance is very small.
