CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer will be held in Charlotte on Oct. 26-27.
The event is part a national series of 39-mile weekend fundraising events launched in 2003 by the Avon Foundation.
The route for the 2013 walk in Charlotte is currently under development, but it will include many of the same highlights and features of the 2012 event route. The route in 2012 featured Freedom Park, Queens University and Bank of America Stadium, and also included neighborhoods like uptown, Dilworth, South End, Myers Park and SouthPark.
