CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

The Carolina Panthers team confidence has never been higher after last year’s promising end to the season, where the team won four out of its last six games highlighted by the play of rookie quarterback Cam Newton.

The team is so confident that one of its leaders is saying so in big, bold print.

Panthers’ center Ryan Kahlil took out a full-page 178-word ad in Wednesday’s edition of the Charlotte Observer guaranteeing a Super Bowl win this season.

The ad is titled “Why the Carolina Panthers will win Super Bowl XLVII.” In the ad, Kalil focuses on the fans and how they bought 40,000 clubs seats and luxury boxes in one day back in 1993 that basically financed the construction of Bank of America Stadium.

Kalil went on to say that after two decades of seasons bad and good, the team as well as the fans, will break through anything that stands in their way.

Kalil ends the ad telling fans at the end of the season they will see, “Victory. One hundred-percent, sterling silver victory. The Lombardi trophy. And it reads: CAROLINA PANTHERS – SUPER BOW XLVII CHAMPIONS!”

Kalil was drafted by the Panthers in 2007 out of University of Southern California. The 6 foot 2 inch, 295 pound center has been voted to Pro Bowl the last three consecutive years (2009-11).

The Panthers finished 6-10 last season and have not won a playoff game since 2005.
