Haley Pulls Internet Ad With Black Eyed Peas Tune

COLUMBIA, S.C.,None — Republican gubernatorial nominee Nikki Haley has pulled an online ad that used a popular Black Eyed Peas song without permission.

The 4 1/2 minute ad showed images of Haley at events as "I Gotta Feeling" played.

Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey confirmed Wednesday the campaign did not have permission to use the group's music. Godfrey says the campaign's creative team was simply trying to have some fun with a song Haley enjoyed listening to on the bus during the primary.

Haley is not the first GOP candidate to run afoul of artists by using their music without permission.

Arizona Sen. John McCain was cited by Foo Fighters and Jackson Browne and Kentucky U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul was told by Rush to stop using its music without permission.
