McCrorys push for pet adoptions Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory is pushing a new pet issue for the holidays.

McCrory and his wife, Ann, held a dog adoption event at the executive mansion from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

"Help brighten the holidays with a new addition to your family," said Ann McCrory in a news release. "Please help by bringing home a new dog or just coming out to show your support."
