SC Gubernatorial Candidate Releases First General Election Ad

CHARLESTON, SC,None — South Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley has unveiled her first campaign ad of the general election.

The ad, called "Movement," restates the theme she used in the primary as being an outsider who will shake things up in Columbia.

In the 30-second ad, an announcer says there's a movement taking hold in the state.

A white woman then says it's a movement to take back our government, while a black woman says its a movement to include people who have been left out.

A man then says it's a movement to make Columbia accountable for how it spends taxpayer money.

Haley, a state representative from Lexington, was elected in 2004. She faces Camden state Sen. Vince Sheheen in the race to replace Gov. Mark Sanford.
