Potential for showers Saturday, heat wave coming

CHARLOTTE — The rain Saturday has not been as extensive or heavy as it was Friday. That has cut down our flooding incidents. There are a few showers and more may come later Saturday evening through early Sunday. Temperatures will stay down in the middle 80s.

The heat will be a big story next week, but a developing storm in the Atlantic may take all the attention away from it. This storm off of Charleston could gather a little strength and gain tropical status in the coming days. It is fairly stationary right now and its movement is still very uncertain.
