There will be a threat of rain Saturday night into Sunday morning. The rain likely will not start until after the conclusion of the Sprint All-Star race. Conditions will slowly improve after Sunday’s damp and dreary start.
Showers in eastern Tennessee Saturday afternoon will try to move into upstate South Carolina. The light showers will start in the Charlotte area around midnight.
It will be cloudy and rainy for the first half of Sunday. The rain will be light and severe weather will not be a concern. The heaviest rain will occur in South Carolina counties.
Temperatures will remain pleasant and in the 70s. The WSOC weather team will be tracking a major warm-up starting next week.
