More rain in forecast Wednesday, then a warmup

The Carolina wedge will break down Tuesday night, allowing temperatures to warm up by Wednesday morning and then sweep quickly to the east.

The forecast remains on track with light rain and drizzle into Tuesday night then temperatures will rise overnight into the low to mid 40s.

A cold front will bring some showers before lunchtime Wednesday and then the clouds will break up and temperatures will rise to mid-60s.

Like Monday, temperatures will warm well into the 60s.

Temperatures will drop back Thursday or Friday near average with a mix of clouds and sun.

The weekend forecast is up in the air. Early forecast models showed soaking rain on Sunday, but now the rain chances have dropped for both Saturday and Sunday.
