Thomas was arrested at an apartment in Queens, New York on Dec. 10 after investigators said he initially fled the state after prosecutors filed charges.
McKee was shot while returning home from Virginia.
Investigators believe Manuel and Thomas conspired to kill McKee.
Friends said McKee is continuing to recover and working on rehabilitation now.
