CHARLESTON, S.C. — Authorities say a 19-year-old man has died after falling out of a third-story apartment window along the South Carolina coast.
Charleston police spokeswoman Karen Nix said an officer was flagged down around 11:50 p.m. Monday and called for an ambulance to help the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man fell from an apartment over King Street Public House in downtown Charleston. The restaurant said in a statement it decided to close through Friday because of the incident.
Nix says police are still investigating the fall.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office has not released the man's name.
