Charlotte Latin and Charlotte Christian will clash again for the NCISAA 3A State Football Championship on Friday night.
This will be the third year in a row that the two teams will meet for a chance at the title. Charlotte Christian is the defending private school state champions having beaten Latin last year in the title game.
Charlotte Latin will make it's seventh straight appearance in the title game.
The No. 1 seen Knights (9-2)defeated Ravenscroft last week 45-22 and have a current two-game winning streak over the Hawks with a 38-35 win in the regular season this year and a the win in last year's title game.
The Hawks (10-1)survived a double-overtime scare last week defeating Country Day 31-24 to advance to their seventh straight championship game.
