Thunderstorms moving through the area giving way to clearer skies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Thunderstorms will move into the area late Tuesday afternoon and start breaking apart by early evening.

Although they are expected to weaken, there is a high chance of rainfall with hail and some gusty winds possible.

Once that cold front passes is history, conditions will begin to improve with clouds dissipating early Wednesday giving way to favorable temperatures and humidity.

High temperatures will be in the 80s with no humidity in the air with lows possibly in the upper 50s on Thursday morning.

The heat and humidity will return by the weekend with no chance of thunderstorms.
