RALEIGH, N.C. — Elon and Archdale are among the safest cities in North Carolina, according to research by SafeWise.com.

The website compiled a list of the 50 safest cities in the state and Elon was ranked at number three.

Archdale came in at number 15.

Pinehurst came in at number one, followed by Holly Springs.

Other cities in the Piedmont that made the list were Mocksville at number 26, Kernersville at 32, King at 33, Lexington at 44 and Mebane at 50.
