Stormy weather will be threatening the Charlotte area Tuesday afternoon.
Any thunderstorms that will develop will have the capability of bringing in very heavy rain and thunder as well as gusty winds. Storm chances will increase Wednesday and Thursday.
As temperatures get close to 90 degrees Tuesday, storms will start up in South Carolina Midlands that will move towards the Charlotte area.
Meanwhile, a stronger line of storms over Tennessee and Alabama will slowly approach the area by Wednesday.
Thunderstorms that develop Tuesday will die out pretty quickly close to sunset.
They will leave behind very muggy weather with lows around 70 degrees overnight.
Storm chances are expected to be better Wednesday and Thursday as the storm system from Tennessee is expected to arrive.
Severe weather will be accompanied with heavy rain and wind being the top threats.
